  Belvedere is a stone-built former farmhouse, stunningly situated at the head of a tranquil valley in Northern Umbria, with wonderful views over farmland and forested hills. Located just minutes from the Tuscan border near Monterchi, it makes a perfect base for exploring this fascinating region of Italy, with many of the area’s prime tourist destinations within easy reach.

After many years of neglect, Belvedere has now been restored to an exacting standard to create an extremely attractive and well-equipped family house. Beautiful beamed ceilings, terracotta tiles and working fireplaces combine to preserve the character of the old house, whilst the furnishings and fittings have been chosen with great care to provide every comfort.  In addition, Belvedere benefits from its own private swimming pool and tennis court.

• BOOKING FOR 2010 - Booking for 2010 and beyond is well underway, so please don't delay, especially if you are looking for school holiday periods. Fully booked 5th June-11th September 2010, except for the weeks commencing 3rd July and 31st July.

• SPECIAL EARLY SEASON OFFER - 20% discount on bookings for two weeks or more between 27th March and 29th May 2010

• INTERNET ACCESS - We are now able to offer free WiFi internet connection from the house.

• LOW SEASON BOOKINGS and CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR - flexible arrival or departure dates usually possible by arrangement. 

• OLIVE HARVEST 2009 - With almost double last year's first harvest, we will be able to leave at least a small sample of Belvedere's own olive oil for our guests next year.  Once again we had wonderful weather for picking - a reminder of what a perfect time of year it is to enjoy sightseeing, in cooler temperatures and without the crowds.  There is so much going on: the Truffle Festival in Citta di Castello, the Chocolate Festival in Perugia, not to mention the shops and markets for some early Christmas shopping and the restaurants full of seasonal delights.
