Belvedere di Prato is in northern Umbria, the beautiful 'green heart' of Italy, in the district of Monte Santa Maria Tiberina.  The border with Tuscany and the village of Monterchi are just a few minutes' drive away.

Access by road:
Belvedere is easily accessible from either the main north/south A1/E35 motorway, or from the E45 Ravenna/Rome superstrada.

Trains:
The nearest mainline station is at Arezzo, 35 minutes away, on the principal route between Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rome and beyond.  There is also a small private line, the Ferrovia Centrale Umbra, which runs along the Tiber Valley between Sansepolcro, Perugia and Terni.  N.B 2019: There is a replacement bus service on much of this line at present while maintenance is carried out - it seems uncertain whether it will ever re-open fully?
